Then consider this your invitation to apply as one of our fabulous fundraisers in the field of nonprofit development.

The Development Department is currently considering interns with an interest in learning about various elements of fundraising, including:

  • Fundraising event planning and implementation
  • Donor database management
  • Corporate relations
  • Donor stewardship
  • Annual fundraising appeals

Development interns will have an opportunity to participate in many of the following activities: creating budgets, writing acknowledgement letters, researching prospects, writing and editing grant proposals and coordinating elements of various fundraising events. Qualifications include: strong writing and communication skills, ability to perform under deadline, superior organizational skills and a passion for making a real impact on our community.

If you are interested in fundraising and a career in the nonprofit sector, we would be thrilled to receive your submission!

*NOTE: Open Books internships are unpaid but in no way unrewarding. You'll enjoy flexible part-time hours, VIP treatment at special events, all the books you can read, all the fun you can stand, and a casual but professional work environment with friendly and appreciative coworkers, students, and partners.
