Fall 2024 Public Programs at Open Books North Lawndale

Join us after school at Open Books North Lawndale for Tinkering Tuesdays and Play On Words! Open to all 4th-8th graders, these free drop-in programs let you explore your creativity through hands-on activities like art making, creative writing, letter beading, and more. Whether you want to tinker and build or write and create, there’s something for everyone. Come by, meet new friends, and express yourself on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-5pm. The fall session will begin on October 1st and October 3rd.

Families are welcome to join us at Sensory Saturdays, beginning on October 5th. Caregivers and their little ones are invited to explore literacy through your senses! Drop-in for hands-on creative play, art and movement activities, plus free books for the whole family. This program is free for all ages and will be hosted on Saturdays from 11am – 3pm through December 7th.
