Open Books North Lawndale is a programming space and free bookstore. Tuesdays and Thursdays are open to youth only for grades 4th - 8th from 2:30pm - 5:00pm. Saturdays are open to all ages and families from 11:00am - 3:00pm.
Winter 2025 Public Programs at Open Books North Lawndale
Join us at Open Books North Lawndale for drop in out-of-school time programming! No registration required and books and programs are free. We are open after school Tuesdays and Thursdays to all 4th – 8th graders to let you explore your creativity through hands-on activities like art making, creative writing, interactive games, and more. Whether you come in to grab a free book from our shelves or hang out with friends, there is something here for everyone. Families of all ages are welcome to join us for Saturday public programs and select from a range of free books and programs activities available in the space. Drop-in for hands on creative play, reading, and writing fun for caregivers and the whole family.
We will be open for the winter season from Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 – Saturday, March 22nd, 2025. We will not be open during CPS no school days.
